Facilitating Effective Research

What does it take to produce an unforgettable research experience for UROP students? As a mentor, you have access to a variety of resources designed to facilitate effective research, from ongoing workshops, to guidelines around safety and health, to tips for supporting students who are working remotely. And we’re always here to help you explore other options and resources—just get in touch if you think we might be able to help or have suggestions for us.

Facilitating Effective Research (FER) Workshops

Facilitating Effective Research (FER) is a multifaceted program designed to help graduate students, post-docs, and others who regularly work with UROP students to become more effective research mentors. We offer FER workshops throughout the year, and can offer a smaller dedicated session for your department or lab group.  If you are interested in attending a session or would like us to offer a smaller session just for your department or lab group, please feel free to contact Melissa Martin-Greene, Assistant Director, UROP.

Offerings upcoming closer to the start of the summer term – please check back for details.
