Graduate & Postdoc Mental Health & Wellbeing: An Interview with Sherry Turkle
Graduate & Postdoc Mental Health & Wellbeing: An Interview with Sherry Turkle
Wednesday, April 3rd 2024; 4:00 pm – 5:30 PM ET; Virtual Event
It’s difficult to find time to attend to your mental health and wellbeing as a graduate student or postdoc at MIT. It’s even harder to find a mentor who is willing to discuss their experience and reflect on the ways things might be different for you. We have both! Join us at this event, take some time for yourself, and hear from a mentor who has recently published a memoir detailing her own graduate experience! Help guide the discussion by submitting your questions.
Sherry Turkle is the Abby Rockefeller Mauzé Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology in the Program in Science, Technology, and Society at MIT, and the founding director of the MIT Initiative on Technology and Self. Professor Turkle received a joint doctorate in sociology and personality psychology from Harvard University and is a licensed clinical psychologist. She is an expert on culture and therapy, mobile technology, social networking, and sociable robotics.
