Wellesley students are not eligible for UROP direct funding, so must receive funding support from faculty resources and must cross-register in advance before they are able to submit formal online UROP applications.

Submit your online UROP application to your faculty supervisor no later than today to formalize your UROP for DLC/Supervisor (Sponsored Research) funding. You cannot be paid until your UROP is approved by UROP staff.

NOTE: If you are not cross-registered at MIT for the Spring 2023 term, Summer UROPs can’t begin until Monday, June 12, 2023, the first day of the Summer Session academic period.

If you are a Wellesley international student choosing to pursue a paid research opportunity at MIT UROP, please consult with the Slater International Center to obtain proper off-campus work authorization  at least 2 weeks before beginning any paid research opportunity at MIT.
