Wellesley students are not eligible for UROP direct funding or credit in IAP, so must receive funding support from faculty resources and must cross-register in advance before they are able to submit formal online UROP applications.

Submit your online UROP application to your faculty supervisor no later than today to formalize your UROP for DLC/Supervisor (Sponsored Research) funding. You cannot be paid until your UROP is approved by UROP staff.

If you are a Wellesley College international student choosing to pursue a paid UROP opportunity during fall, spring or summer terms, please consult with the Slater International Center to obtain proper off-campus work authorization at least 2 weeks before beginning any paid research opportunity at MIT. Note that off-campus work authorization is not available for MIT’s January Independent Activities Period (IAP).
