In this project, you will research how to design a circuit for ultra-low-power underwater cameras and videos. Applications include include marine life monitoring and underwater climate sensing. The project builds in recent work from our lab which enables battery-free underwater communication and sensing: https://techcrunch.com/2019/08/20/mit-develops-a-sensor-that-can-work-underwater-without-a-battery-and-send-back-data/ The goal of this UROP project is to research and develop a PCB Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this position will include: (1) Research ultra-low-power cameras (2) Develop PCB design for ultra-low-power camera streaming (3) Work with a team to present your work and integrate with a large research platform.
Prerequisites: - Circuit background (e.g., 6-1) Preferred (but not hard prerequisites): - Background in embedded systems is a plus but not required
