Project Description

Do you like robots and science? Work with a team to build a robot that, instead of exploring the world, is the world! Build a self-contained chamber capable of sensing and intervention to facilitate scalable behavioral research in science using machine learning and embedded control. The desired outcome is an environment capable of performing both observational studies and behavioral experiments involving live animals (e.g. mice) fully autonomously.


Desired Backgrounds: Strong mechanical or programming skills Ideally comfortable with basic embedded programming (e.g. Raspberry Pi or Arduino) Interest in machine learning, computer vision, reinforcement learning and/or behavioral research
