Project Description

How can deep learning systems help us engage in creative content creation? Can they help us feel more creative? If you are interested in Machine learning for creative expression applications, we have a project for you. We want to not only create intelligent systems for humans+AI co-creation but also understand the cognitive costs and benefits of cognitive control for creativity. This project can include training machine learning models, Developing GUI, writing literature reviews, designing interactive websites for running experiments depending on your skills and interest. This is an opportunity to do applied machine learning research at the intersection of Creative AI, HCI, and cognitive science.


We are looking for a candidate with experience in the following areas: • programming iPython • working on a Linux machine • statistics Though not mandatory, experience with the following would be highly beneficial: 3D graphics • GANs • super-resolution image processing • automated image segmentation (e.g., intensity-based thresholding, watershed algorithms, machine learning-based tools) • automated image registration • machine learning tools for pattern discovery and classification.
