Online decision-support tool for flight scheduling at busy airports
Alexandre Jacquillat firstname.lastname@example.org
We are seeking a UROP to work on the development of an online interface for airport scheduling. In previous research, we have developed an optimization model and algorithms to assign flights to “slots” (i.e., scheduled times) at busy airports—while satisfying a number of operational and regulatory constraints. In the next phase of the project, we will develop a website that enables a practitioner to enter data inputs, run the optimization model, visualize the outputs, and make decisions accordingly. We are aiming to deploy this decision tool to a few airports globally. The successful candidate needs to have experience in software development and website development. He/She will work with Prof. Alexandre Jacquillat (Sloan), Prof. Amedeo Odoni (AeroAstro) and Prof. Nuno Ribeiro (Singapore University of Technology and Design).
