We are exploring a novel approach in which low cost, mass produced diesel engines are used as small scale compressors and chemical reactors for Gas to Liquids applications to avoid flaring and synthesize biofuels close to the biomass source. Student will assist with modeling a novel very small scale gas to liquids process. Process Modeling (e.g. Aspen), equipment sizing, techno economic calculations. Work will include process engineering and chemical engineering.
