Social robots are a great medium for interventions that could improve wellness and family interaction. Providing the social robot with the ability to understand human behavior from verbal and nonverbal behaviors is important for these contexts. This project aims are extracting and analyzing human behavior in two contexts: (1) wellness intervention and (2) family interaction. We aim at building AI models that facilitate and enhances the personalization aspect of the robot interaction in these two contexts.
Experience in programming with python is highly required. Good knowledge in computer vision, signal processing, deep learning, and feature analysis in the AI context is ideal for successful applicants.
