Project Description

The goal of this project is to use modern techniques from the machine-learning field of natural language processing (NLP) to help improve the quality of news media, moving beyond traditional manual fact-checking to scalable NLP-based quality checks capable of detecting more subtle biases such as omissions and skewed language.

Pre-requisites

Ability to program in Python, interest in current events, urge to use technology for good. Experience in machine learning is a strong plus, but not required.
