The Opera of the Future group is looking for students interested in helping to build new audiovisual and computational instruments. We have a long tradition of building new interfaces for musical expression and for media arts education, and we are currently working to develop the next installment in this series, incorporating ethical, open source, ethics and environmental approaches using microcontrollers. Opportunities to work on hardware design, software design, open source production and publishing, media arts and human perception education. Please include a copy of your resumé/portfolio and Github link or code samples (in any language).
Experience in any of: Microcontrollers (AVR, Arduino, Teensy, C/C++), version control and documentation (Git, Markdown). Experience or interest in sound art, electronic music, accessibility, environmental concerns, design justice, open source hardware and software.
