Computational analysis of single cell data from clinical trials

We seek a highly motivated UROP to help lead computational analysis of single cell transcriptome data obtained as part of pediatric oncology and stem cell transplant clinical trials. The UROP will be mentored directly by a physician-scientist at the Koch Institute, and also will receive training from the Bioinformatics and Computing Core Facility at the Koch Institute. Prospective UROP must have extensive past experience with both R and Python, and should have experience obtaining and using software from open source platforms (e.g. GitHub, Bioconductor). Prior experience with either single cell sequencing data or dimensionality reduction techniques (PCA, etc…) is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate is either a course 7 or course 20 major interested in going to graduate school for computational biology, or a course 6-7 major interested in a future career in computational biology. This UROP can be completed as fully remote if necessary.
Expertise in R and Python
